Walcha Rugby Club
The Walcha Rugby Club was founded in 1894 and was originally part of the New England rugby competition and later joined the Central North zone. The Walcha Rugby Club has a rich history and is very proud of its players representing Central North, NSW Country, NSW Waratah’s and Australia which is a great achievement considering Walcha is one of the smallest clubs in the Central North competition. The Walcha Rams have a red and white playing strip and will have first and second grade taking to the field in the 2014 season. Our clubhouse has a warm and friendly atmosphere and all players and supporters are welcome to join us around the open fire (much needed in winter) to have a drink and a meal after a good game of rugby. Training takes place at “The Park” on a Tuesday and Thursday night at 6.30pm, all new players are welcome.
