Magpies to keep close eye on sleight of hand

STUNG twice after having victory in its grasp, Tamworth will be out to get one back on Walcha when they match-up at Tamworth Rugby Park today.

The Rams have in both fixtures grabbed the points with late tries.

The game doesn’t mean a lot as far as the table, but does to the home side.

“They’ve had two close victories over us the last two games.

“We’re very keen to turn the tables,” Magpies co-coach Ross Duncan said.

Especially given they could potentially meet them in the finals.

“One lapse has cost us both games,” Duncan said.

That’s pretty much what it’s come down to with Simon Newton dummying and ghosting through in both instances to orchestrate those late tries.
